OUR STORY
Candles by de Rosche was founded by Stina and Niklas de Rosche in 2024. Originally created as a coaching practice called Healing with de Rosche where Stina would guide and support mainly women though 1:1 coaching sessions as an educated "Soul Manifestation Coach". We started out on a short string budget with some profit money from my husbands business as a Management Consultant, along side being on maternity leave - with no experience or expertise. Over the years we have slowly grown into a thoughtful small business driven by our values and philosophy around living both mindfully and slow as significant components to a truly happy and healthy life.

THE BEGINNING
The idea for our business came into being as a result of my own personal healing journey battling burn out, low self worth and anxiety. I used to work as a Business Insurance Broker in the center of Stockholm between 2013-2018, a job that was highly masculine influenced and unhealthy. It was a way of living that held little (if any) room to tend to my own needs, desires or find time to rest and recharge and that eventually forced me to quit.
We began looking for a slower and softer way of living that didn't require us to push and force our day to day lives. After years of searching, as a family, we finally found our dream home at the end of a calm street on the country side, surrounded by nature and with the ocean just around the corner.
Also having had three beautiful boys close in age, I have been on maternity leave for a long time, having lots of time to reflect upon what I truly wanted to do with my life when being honest. Going from living in the fast lane in the center of the city where our lives evolved around work and constantly striving for more, to softening into a slow life on the country side and embracing minimalism has been a journey of transformation and unraveling back to our souls.
By using our experiences, philosophy and values as our road map, Candles by de Rosche has slowly grown and evolved over time to be the considerate, slow and intentional business it is today.
Being on a short string budget, we wondered how we could create a beautiful and meaningful online space full of feeling for our customers to spend time in, whether they were purchasing from us or not. without using traditional marketing. Therefor, our images and blog posts have become our driving force.
